Our community

Part of everyday life.
Part of something bigger.

Our teams give time, raise funds and provide practical support to organisations working with local people. These are some of the relationships we’re proud of.

Funds from our restaurants.
Support for local causes.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

Small comforts.
Meaningful support.

Our teams have supported Edinburgh House with coffee supplies for its family room and toiletries for families arriving at the House.

Quiz nights, karaoke evenings and other fundraising activities have brought colleagues together to help families with children in hospital.

Practical help and fundraising are both part of the relationship we’ve built with the House.

Street Assist Edinburgh

Looking out for
people in the city.

Straub Food has donated to Street Assist Edinburgh, supporting its work with vulnerable people in the city centre at night.

Its team provides care and practical help when people need support. Backing that work is one way we can contribute beyond our restaurant doors.

Joining in.

Our teams have joined the parade of decorated taxis, dressing up and handing out treats to children and families taking part.

It is a chance to get involved in a local event and enjoy the community spirit beyond the usual restaurant day.

Lochend Football Club

Supporting local football.

Our support for Lochend Football Club helps it continue its work with young people in the local community. The club offers a welcoming setting to learn, build confidence and develop on and off the pitch.

Working together

A safer, more welcoming city.

We have worked with the Scottish Retail Consortium, Police Scotland and local partners to discuss challenges affecting the city centre. Sharing experience and improving communication helps us work towards safe, welcoming places for colleagues and customers.
